Záver Kontrola zvýšenej telesnej teploty je veľmi dôležitá z hľadiska negatívneho dopadu febrilít na mozgovú činnosť a činnosť celého organizmu. Manažment centrálnej hypertermie zahŕňa multimodálny prístup, avšak doteraz neexistujú oficiálne, štandardizované a všeobecne záväzné odporúčania pre jeho diagnostiku a liečbu. Cieľom nášho prehľadového článku bolo oboznámiť čitateľov s problematikou tejto relatívne málo zmieňovanej diagnózy, informovať o zmysle a potrebe adekvátnej terapie elevovanej telesnej teploty s ohľadom na výsledný stav pacientov na neurointenzívnych lôžkach.
