Klíčový je pak výběr vhodných a senzitivních testů. Při vyšetření je také důležité věnovat pozornost subjektivním kognitivním stížnostem pacientů a odlišit je od projevů deprese či úzkosti (Nikolai, 2021), kdy může být nápomocný rozhovor s pacientem a jeho blízkou osobou.
