Neurosonologie je moderní, dynamicky se rozvíjející vyšetřovací metoda umožňující neinvazivní diagnostiku cerebrovaskulárních onemocnění. Skládá se ze tří od sebe neoddělitelných částí, ze sonografického duplexního vyšetření magistrálních cerebrálních arterií, s transkraniálního dopplerometického vyšetření a transkraniálního barevně kódovaného duplexního sonografického vyšetření cerebrálních arterií. Pouze kombinací těchto metod můžeme získat kvalitní přehled o stavu mozkové cirkulace pacienta. V souhrnném článku autoři představují jednotlivé ultrazvukové metody a přehledy aplikací.
