V článku je popsána infekce virem varicella-zoster (VZV) - herpes zoster a aseptická meningitida, diagnostika provedená nově zavedenou metodou průkazu DNA VZV pomocí nested polymerázové řetězové reakce (nPCR) a následná léčba aciclovirem.
