Hodnocení klinické semiologie v průběhu epileptického záchvatu je vedle dalších klinických a zobrazovacích vyšetření důležitou součástí stanovení pravděpodobné epileptogenní zóny před epileptochirurgickým zákrokem. V přehledu popisuji nejčastěji pozorované lateralizační příznaky u pacientů s epilepsií temporálního laloku, jejich lateralizační hodnotu, pravděpodobnou genezi a literární data v některých případech konfrontuji s našimi vlastními zkušenostmi. Mezi zmíněné lateralizační příznaky patří iktální dystonie, iktální vomitus, iktální -příznak tření nosu-, postiktální -příznak tření nosu-, iktální a postiktální řečové projevy, iktální paréza, deviace hlavy a unilaterální iktální automatizmy.
