Zobrazovací vyšetření jsou jednou ze základních metod v diagnostice pacientů s epileptickými záchvaty. Magnetická rezonance (MR) mozku je u těchto pacientů metodou volby. Funkčně-zobrazovací vyšetření mají v epileptologii význam zejména pro pacienty, u nichž se uvažuje o provedení epileptochirurgického zákroku a výsledky ostatních vyšetřovacích metod neumožňují jednoznačnou lokalizaci nebo lateralizaci epileptogenní oblasti (6, 8).
