Iatrogénna problematika antiepileptík

Iatrogénny dopad antiepileptík sa týka hlavne výberu antiepileptika, alebo jeho kombinácií, zhoršenia samotného epileptického problému, výskytu nežiaducich príznakov, ktoré komplikujú priebeh a klinický obraz a teratogenicity. Zhoršenie záchvatov antiepileptikami je závažný a častý problém, ktorý sa nezriedka prehliada. Najčastejšími príčinami býva nesprávna diagnóza záchvatov alebo syndrómov, nedostatok informácií o kontraindikáciach antiepileptík, nesprávna preskripcia dávok a kombinácií.
