Autor se ve svém sdělení zabývá fenoménem bolesti při funkčních onemocněních pohybového aparátu dle konceptu dr. Brüggera. Vysvětluje vznik bolesti při nociceptivních aferentních signalizacích a vznik ochranných reakcí na subkortikální úrovni. Upozorňuje na nutnost správné diagnostiky funkčních onemocnění pohybového aparátu pro úspěšnou fyzioterapeutickou léčbu. Tato léčba je kauzální, ekonomická, pacienta aktivuje a posléze ho vrací se správnými návyky do aktivního života.
