Neurologické komplikace protinádorové léčby

Vzhledem k tomu, že rozvoj neoplazie znamená poruchu imunitního protinádorového dozoru a při léčbě musíme využívat často neselektivní cytostatický a imunosupresivní účinek chemoterapeutik a radioterapie, setkáváme se s řadou nežádoucích účinků a komplikací. Tyto problémy mohou vznikat při léčbě nádorů vycházejících z nervových struktur, ale stejně tak jsou časté komplikace protinádorové léčby projevující se druhotným postižením centrálního nebo periferního nervového systému. Antineoplastická agens se vyznačují určitým stupněm neurotoxicity, stejně tak radiační léčba přináší nebezpečí postižení zdravé tkáně v blízkém, ale někdy i vzdáleném okolí. Vedlejší projevy jednotlivých způsobů léčby se mohou prolínat podle taktiky léčby, časových souvislostí a individuální senzitivity léčeného.
