Funkční MRI je zobrazovací metoda, která se v poslední době dostává do povědomí širší lékařské veřejnosti. Rovněž dochází ke snaze o její využítí v klinických oborech. V této studii jsme se zaměřili na lokalizaci korových řečových center a určení řečově dominantní hemisféry pomocí tzv. lateralizačního indexu (LI) u zdravých dobrovolníků s pravostrannou motorickou dominancí. K aktivaci cerebrálních oblastí podílejících se na řečových funkcích byl užit test slovní plynulosti (VFT). Nejsignifikantnější změny MR signálu (dle rozsahu i statistické významnosti) byly patrny, ve shodě z předchozími studiemi, v levostranném g. frontalis inferior (Brocovo centrum řeči) a pravostranné mozečkové kůře. Dosud neúplně zodpovězena však zůstává otázka, s jakou spolehlivostí dokáže fMRI (respektive výpočet lateralizačního indexu) určit řečově dominantní hemisféru.
