Neurologické ochorenia podmienené genetickou poruchou štruktúry a funkcie iónových kanálov

Milé kolegyne, vážení kolegovia, v slovenskom a českom jazyku má zaujímavý významový podtón pojem kanálopatie, ktorý je ekvivalentom anglického „channelopathies“. Týmto slovom sa označujú ochorenia, ktorých príznaky sú podmienené poruchami štruktúry a následne funkcie vybraných iónových kanálov niektorých typov buniek ľudského tela. Pre úplnosť je samozrejme potrebné dodať, že túto skupinu ochorení je možné skrátene označiť aj slovným spojením poruchy iónových kanálov (ion channel disorders), ktoré neposkytuje neurológom čaro nechceného dvojzmyslu.
