Ionové kanály a epilepsia

Skupina monogénovo viazaných epileptických syndrómov postupne narastá. V súčasnosti prevažujú vo výskyte mutácie génov viazaných na jednotlivé podjednotky iónových kanálov. Pokrok v identifikácii zodpovedných mutovaných génov môže postupne redukovať počet tzv. idiopatických epileptických syndrómov na nozologické jednotky so známou etiológiou. Vytvoria sa týmto predpoklady aj k viac cielenej farmakoterapii epilepsie.
