Funkční zobrazování mozku pomocí magnetické rezonance v neurologii

Funkční MR zobrazení mozku v nedávných letech výrazně přispělo k porozumění významným neurologickým chorobám. Přesto se s výjimkou předoperačního mapování v neurochirurgii jen pomalu zařazuje mezi rutinní klinicky využitelné metody. Příčinou jsou mimo jiné vysoké nároky na design, provedení a interpretaci fMRI studií. V budoucnosti by mohla fMRI realizovat svůj klinický potenciál v aplikacích sahajících od presymptomatické diagnózy, přes cílení intracerebrálních intervencí a vývoj farmak až po individualizaci farmakologické a behaviorální terapie.
