Surgical treatment of extrapyramidal disease

The number of indications for the surgical intervention in movement disorders grows in recent years. Most frequent indications comprise

the Parkinson‘s disease, essential tremor and dystonia. Currently the deep brain stimulation is the most frequently used method.
