MUDr. Jiří Polívka, CSc., slaví sedmdesátiny

Jitka Rokytová a spolupracovníci

Jiří Polívka se narodil 2. 12. 1951. Konkurzem na střední škole získal místo na Lyceu A. Daudeta v Nimes ve Francii. Studium tam mu přerušila tzv. normalizace, dokončil jej později v Čechách. V roce 1977 absolvoval studium na Lékařské fakultě Karlovy univerzity v Plzni. Po promoci nastoupil jako lékař na Neurologickou kliniku plzeňské  Fakultní nemocnice. Tam a na Lékařské fakultě UK v Plzni strávil celý svůj profesní život. V roce 1992 obhájil na 1. LF UK kandidátskou disertační práci věnovanou neurosonologii a získal titul CSc. Od roku 1991 pracoval ve vedení Neurologické kliniky ve funkci zástupce přednosty – primáře. V roce 1993 se stal asistentem na Lékařské fakultě v Plzni na částečný úvazek. Téměř dva roky pracoval  jako primář i zastupující přednosta zároveň a od roku 2011 je ve funkci přednosty kliniky...
