Primární laterální skleróza

Primární laterální skleróza (PLS) je progresivní degenerativní onemocnění horních (centrálních) motorických neuronů neznámé příčiny. Postihuje dolní končetiny, trup, horní končetiny a bulbární svaly obvykle v uvedeném pořadí. Vztah k jiným chorobám (syndromům) motorického neuronu je nejistý (spinální svalové atrofie s postižením pouze dolního motorického neuronu a amyotrofická laterální skleróza s postižením horního i dolního motorického neuronu). V referátu jsou uvedena klinická i laboratorní kritéria (včetně nálezů na MR a PET) a uvedeny poznámky ke kritériím. Medikamentózní léčba je pouze symptomatická (myorelaxantia, benzodiazepiny); nedílnou součásti léčby je však i fyzikální terapie a rehabilitace, výživa a psychologická podpora.
