Míšní stimulace a možnosti jejího užití

V léčbě chronických neztišitelných bolestí, u kterých je standardní terapie neúspěšná, nebo je spojena se závažnými nežádoucími účinky, se s úspěchem uplatňují neuromodulační techniky. Článek seznamuje s jednou z metod neuromodulace - stimulací míchy (SCS). Cílem sdělení je seznámení s mechanizmy účinku neurostimulace, technický popis neuro­stimulačního přístroje a vlastní implantace systému. Základem úspěšnosti této metody je pečlivý výběr pacienta. V článku dále uvádíme nejčastější diagnózy indikované k neurostimulaci, kontraindikace a možnosti neuromodulační terapie v České republice.
