Komorbidita a cievne mozgové príhody

Cievne mozgové príhody (CMP) sú hlavnou získanou príčinou zneschopnenia a 3. najčastejšou príčinou smrti u dospelej populácie. Úspešnosť liečby v akútnom štádiu, prevencia recidívy ochorenia, následná kvalita života ako aj úmrtnosť však nezávisia len od liečby, ale výrazný podiel na prognóze pacienta má aj komorbidita a jej liečba. Komorbidita je definovaná ako výskyt ďalšieho koexistujúceho ochorenia. Presnejšie, komorbidita je považovaná za asociáciu medzi 2 ochoreniami, ktorá je viac ako koincidentálna. Vo vzťahu k CMP sú ako komorbiditné najčastejšie kardiovaskulárne ochorenia – infarkt myokardu, resp. ochorenie koronárnych ciev, fibrilácia predsiení, arteriálna hypertenzia, ďalej diabetes mellitus, poruchy metabolizmu lipidov, migréna, depresia, epilepsia, z hľadiska liečby je potrebné zohľadniť liekové interakcie pri liečbe vertebrogénnych ochorení.
