Komorbidita epileptických záchvatov

Veľká väčšina epileptických záchvatov sa vyskytuje u jedincov, ktorí nemajú príznaky žiadneho iného ochorenia. V klinickej praxi sa stretávame aj s epileptickými záchvatmi, ktoré sú prejavom iného onemocnenia, alebo koexistujú pri ďalšom ochorení. Terminologické pojmy ako epilepsia a epileptické záchvaty sa často prelínajú a zamieňajú aj v najrecentnejšej odbornej literatúre v súvislosti s komorbiditou. Článok prináša prehľad vzťahov epileptických záchvatov pri cerebrovaskulárnych, kardiálnych, renálnych, hepatálnych, pľúcnych ochoreniach, pri ochoreniach štítnej žľazy, pri poruchách metabolizmu so zameraním na elektrolytové poruchy a pri migrénach. Obsahuje návody k diferenciálnej diagnostike ako aj k niektorým liečebným postupom.
