Hnisavé a nehnisavé záněty centrální nervové soustavy

Článek je věnován problematice zánětlivých postižení nervového systému, především zánětům mozku a jeho obalů. Je rozdělen do částí, které jsou věnovány hnisavým a nehnisavým neuroinfekcím, které vedou k difuznímu postižení centrální nervové soustavy. V obou základních kapitolách je pojednáváno o možných etiologických agens, klinickém obrazu, diferenciální diagnostice, možnostech vyšetření a léčbě. Závěr každé z obou částí je věnován možné profylaxi těchto závažných stavů. Článek nepojednává o široké problematice ložiskových nitrolebních procesů.
