Využitie botulotoxínu v terapii sialorrhei u Parkinsonovej choroby

Sialorrhea je častým symptómom u Parkinsonovej choroby, vyskytuje sa takmer u 75 % pacientov. Cieľom našej retrospektívnej štúdie u pacientov s Parkinsonovou chorobou so sialorrheou bolo objektivizovať efekt aplikácie botulotoxinu A do slinných žliaz. V súbore 12 pacientov s Parkinsonovou chorobou, u ktorých bola sialorhea významným subjektivným príznakom, bola zahájená terapia botulotoxínom A. Efekt aplikácie botulotoxínu bol hodnotený škálou Unified Parkinson´s Disease Rating Scale – (UPDRS, časť 2, položka 2 a škálou Clinical Global Impression (CGI). Priemerná dávka botulotoxinu A na jednu aplikáciu bola 82,5 MU ± 33,87. Priemerná dĺžka terapeutického efektu bola 10 týždňov. 56,6 % pacientov dosiahlo CGI skóre 5, 21,7 % pacientov dosiahlo skóre 1 a ďalších 21,7 % pacientov skóre 9. Neboli zaznamenané žiadne vedľajšie účinky. Výsledky našej práce potvrdili efektivitu a bezpečnosť podania botulotoxínu pri sialorrhei u pacientov s Parkinsonovou chorobou.
