Vestibulární rehabilitace hraje nezanedbatelnou roli v léčbě pacientů s poruchami rovnováhy. Důležitým momentem pro správnou indikaci léčby je vhodně zvolená terapie respektující charakter konkrétního postižení. Rehabilitace má urychlit proces vestibulární kompenzace, podpořit adaptační mechanizmy a vypracování náhradních strategií. Je nutné respektovat zásadní odlišnosti v rehabilitaci pacientů v akutní či chronické fázi periferní vestibulární poruchy a pacientů s centrální vestibulární symptomatikou.
