Degenerativní onemocnění krční páteře a možnosti chirurgické léčby

Degenerativní onemocnění krční páteře patří v současnosti mezi významné socioekonomické problémy společnosti. Postihuje pacienty ve středním a vyšším věku a je příčinou časté pracovní neschopnosti. Tento článek je přehledem etiologických faktorů, které způsobují degenerativní onemocnění krční páteře, dává stručný přehled o klinickém obraze a zdůrazňuje zejména pokrok v diagnostických zobrazovacích metodách, zvláště zavedení nukleární magnetické rezonance do diagnostiky onemocnění páteře a rozebírá možnosti zejména chirurgické léčby, která doznala v posledních letech podstatných změn díky zavedení moderních technologií a mikrochirurgie.
