Depression and migraine are both very frequent disorders. Patients suffering from migraine develop twice often depression and
patient s with depressive disorder suffer more frequent with migraine. Comorbitiy of those both disorders is associated with
worse course, more frequent chronification and is associated with decreased treatment response. Coindidence of migraine and
depression is associated with decreased quality of life and increased suicidality. Antidepressant medication proved to be efective
in the treatment of depression and migraine type headeache.
